Herrei Adromischus, botanically listed as Adromischus herrei, is a live succulent plant selected for its distinctive form and ornamental appeal. Natural color, size, form, and presentation may vary slightly with season, maturity, and growing conditions.

Morphological Characteristics

Adromischus herrei is a small, rare succulent known for its short, thick, paddle-shaped leaves with raised warty bumps or purple speckles. Leaves are gray-green, sometimes flushed with purple, and arranged in a tight spiral. Each leaf is uniquely shaped, giving the plant an unusual, almost alien-like texture. Mature size is typically 2–4 inches in diameter. During late spring or summer, it produces upright flower stalks with small tubular reddish flowers.

Growth Habits

Slow-growing, compact, and non-clumping. Best suited for small pots or miniature displays. Grows most actively during cooler months and becomes semi-dormant in high heat.

Maintenance Points

• Lighting: Bright indirect light or gentle morning sun. Avoid harsh afternoon rays.

• Watering: Allow soil to dry fully between waterings. Avoid wetting leaves.

• Soil: Fast-draining mix with added pumice or coarse sand.

• Temperature: Prefers 50–86°F (10–30°C). Not frost-tolerant.

• Fertilizer: Monthly diluted succulent fertilizer during growth periods.

• Handling: Leaves are fragile and easily break off—handle with care.

• Pests: Watch for root mealybugs or rot from overwatering.

Display & Use

Perfect for rare succulent trays, small bonsai pots, or minimalist windowsill gardens. Pairs well with textured or uniquely patterned succulents like Haworthia, Ariocarpus, or Aloinopsis. Best grown indoors or in covered areas with dry airflow.
