After arrival

Let your plant settle first

Unpack your succulent gently, remove loose packing material, and place it in bright indirect light. Give it a few days to settle before making major care changes.

Light

Bright light, gentle transition

Most succulents love bright light. If moving a plant into stronger sun, transition it gradually so leaves do not scorch.

Water

Dry soil before watering

Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. Wait until the soil is dry before watering again. Overwatering is the most common succulent care mistake.

Soil

Drainage matters

Use a gritty, well-draining mix and a pot with drainage whenever possible. Dense soil holds moisture too long for most succulents.

Airflow

Keep leaves dry and fresh

Good airflow helps soil dry at a healthy pace. Avoid leaving plants in closed, damp spaces after watering.

Temperature

Protect from extremes

Keep succulents away from frost, freezing windows, and extreme heat. A warm, stable indoor spot is best for most varieties.
